The Golden Age Connection

  • Engage in conversation, games, or hobbies, and keep in touch with the Golden Client throughout the week via friendly phone calls or text messages.

  • Walk with residents around the property for activity and fresh air.

  • Accompany and participation in facility activitiesie; exercise classes, crafts, and music programs.

  • Support engagement and arrangement in pet therapy programs within the facility or by third party vendors.

  • Host small social gatherings such as games, lunches, or movie watching in the resident’s room or community space.

  • Visit parks and craft fairs locally.

    Golden Age Safety & Cleanliness

    • Check living spaces for cleanliness, organization, and any safety risks.

    • Ensure personal items are not expired and valuables are secure but accessible to the Golden Client.

    • Communicate with facility staff/ and/or family if concerns regarding environment, hygiene, or residents physical/mental well-being.

    • Provide an extra set of eyes and ears of accountability.

    • Arrange Vehicle repairs/ oil changes and accompany for DMV visits as needed.

    Golden Age Errands

    • Coordinate/order/pick up personal shopping, deliveries, or mail.

    • Transport clients to all appointments such as the DMV, Social Security office, or accountant/attorney meetings.

    • Organize closets, rotate seasonal clothing, and drop off donations per clients request.

    • Support with pharmacy pick ups and ordering. Facilitate outside errands.

    • Ensure our Golden client’s rooms are tidy.

    Golden Age Tech Assistance

  • Assist residents in using computers and phones.

  • Set up video calls with family members via Zoom or Facetime.

  • Provide awareness of SPAM messages or requests to prevent scam risks. Never click on unknown links! Input family contact information and emergency contacts in phones. Inform them of scammers who call to impersonate known family members to request money. (ongoing reminding)

  • Offer Golden Clients education on email, social media, and AI tools. Arrange for IT help/repairs as needed.

    Golden Age Socializing

  • Acknowledge and celebrate birthdays, holidays, and family events with memorable touches.

  • Coordinate small celebrations in home or other locations.

  • Change seasonal decorations or rotate home decor in personal spaces.

  • Facilitate family traditions adding updates to keep the Golden Age Client emotionally oriented.

    Golden Age Communication

  • Provide a detailed report of each visit/week, focusing on activities, interactions, and physical/mental well-being. Health information is not included due to HIPAA regulations.

  • Share approved photos and notes for transparency.

  • Report any observations about Golden Age resident’s well-being, mood, or changes in surroundings.

We understand needs may change as time goes on and we will adjust as needed by the Golden Age Client and family sees fit.
